Next Generation Xbox Durango Specifications Leaked
Rumours have been circulating for quite some time with regards the specifications for Microsoft’s new next generation Xbox gaming console code named “Durango”.
But now the VGLeaks website is claiming to have a source that has provided leaked specifications for the new next generation console, that will eventually replace the existing Xbox 360 console.
The leaked specifications state that the next generation Xbox will be equipped with 8 processor cores running at 1.6 gigahertz (GHz), with each CPU thread having its own 32 KB L1 instruction cache and 32 KB L1 data cache.
Also each module of four CPU cores has a 2 MB L2 cache resulting in a total of 4 MB of L2 cache, and each core has one fully independent hardware thread with no shared execution resources, together with a hardware thread can issue two instructions per clock.
As far as graphics go the new Xbox system will be equipped with a custom D3D11.1 class 800-MHz graphics processor, with 12 shader cores providing a total of 768 threads and each thread preforming one scalar multiplication and addition operation (MADD) per clock cycle.
Other features include : 50 GB 6x Blu-ray Disc drive, 8 gigabyte (GB) of RAM DDR3 (68 GB/s), 32 MB of fast embedded SRAM (ESRAM) (102 GB/s), Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct.
As with all leaked information these specification have yet to be official confirmed by Microsoft, but the Eurogamer website has performed a little research into the source of the leaked information and confirms it could very well be legitimate. As soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
Dead Space 3 Allows You To Unlock Mass Effect 3 Armour (video)
Dead Space 3 gamers who also enjoy a little Mass Effect 3 gameplay might be excited to learn that they will be able to unlock a new suit of armour within the Dead Space 3 game, inspired by Commander Shepard’s armour from Mass Effect 3.
Check out Isaac and Carver’s N7 armour in the short trailer after the jump, which can be unlocked if you own Mass Effect 3, and purchase Dead Space 3 when it launches on February 5th 2013.
There are also a number of pre-order bonuses available to gamers that per-order Dead Space 3 from either Gamestop or Amazon, offering the EarthGov-issued sub machine gun or the Enervator, an overdriven focus coil weapon. Temple Run 2 Headed To Android 24th January (Video)
The developers behind the popular Temple Run game recently launched Temple Run 2 for Apple’s iOS platform, the game is already at the top of the App store charts, and now it looks like we have a possible date on when it will be available on Google’s Android platform.
According to the guys over at Android Community, who have spoken to the developers of Temple Run 2, the game is expected to be available from the Google Play store on the 24th of January.
Temple Run 21 is available from free on Apple’s App store and the app will also be available for free on the Google Play store when it launches later this week, have a look at the trailer below.

Skyrim Dragonborn PS3 Arriving In February And PC On February 5th 2013 (Video)
PlayStation 3 and PC Skyrim fans patiently waiting for the launch of the new Skyrim Dragonborn expansion, will be pleased to learn that Bethesda has announced that PC games will be able to download the new Skyrim Dragonborn release date for Steam on February 5th 2013.
The new Skyrim Dragonborn expansion will enable gamers to travel to Solstheim, with stops at Fort Dawnguard and Castle Volkihar. Watch the trailer after the jump to learn more.
“We think Dragonborn is our best add-on for Skyrim yet, and we didn’t want fans to wait long, so that’s our current focus. Each platform takes a lot of time and attention,” Bethesda said explaining details about its release on to PS3 and PC via its press release:
PC: On Tuesday, February 5th, Dragonborn will be available on Steam, including the English, French, Italian, Spanish and German versions of the content.
Skyrim Dragonborn PS3 release date: Dragonborn will be the first add-on arriving on PSN in February. Hearthfire will release next, followed by Dawnguard, and all three should be out in February. The 1.8 update will also release, just prior to Dragonborn. We’ll keep you posted as release dates get finalized both on our end and with Sony for each and its various languages. Last but not least, each one will be 50% off during their launch week on PSN.

PlayStation 4 Controller To Have A Touchscreen?
We’ve been hearing a lot of news and rumors lately about Sony’s PlayStation 4 and we might hear more come May at E3. This latest rumor is about the PlayStation 4′s controller.
According to CVG sources, Sony will get rid of the DualShock controller, despite how beloved it is to gamers. The PlayStation 4′s controller will be a lot like the Wii U’s, with biometric sensors on the grips of the controller and an LCD touchscreen. A separate source says that PlayStation engineers are “trying to emulate the same user interface philosophies as the PS Vita.”
That makes sense I guess. Having a DualShock controller be compatible with the PlayStation 4 is still pretty important even if they do go with a touchscreen controller. We will have to wait and see how it all plays out in any event.

Crysis 3: rilasciato il quarto episodio de Le Sette Meraviglie
Giunge nuovamente il consueto appuntamento con i corti dedicati al mondo di Crysis 3. Electronic Arts e Crytek rilasciano infatti il quarto episodio della serie “Le Sette Meraviglie”, denominandolo per l’occasione Typhoon.
Ci troviamo di fronte effettivamente a un video in grado di mostrare la potenza di fuoco di una delle armi presenti nel gioco, il Typhoon appunto, in grado di sparare cinquecento proiettili al secondo.
Il potente fucile è senza dubbio la massima espressione della potenza di fuoco, in grado di trapassare qualsiasi cosa sul proprio percorso. Di conseguenza il Typhoon è l’arma ideale per Prophet, utile al salvataggio dell’umanità e della stessa Terra.
Crysis 3 si prospetta essere uno dei titoli più accattivanti del nuovo anno, seppur in questo nuovo video si denota uno “piccolo” problema tecnico. La potenza del Typhoon dovrebbe effettivamente causare comunque del rinculo, cosa che effettivamente non avviene. Tecnologia avanzata di Nanodome o una dimenticanza da parte degli sviluppatori?
Perfezionismi a parte, non vediamo l’ora di mettere le mani su una versione di Crysis 3 giocabile, dato che la veloce anteprima effettuata durante il Games Week non ci è certo bastata per esprimere un giudizio completo.
The Cave Launches for PS3, Xbox, Wii, and PC this Month
If you’re a fan of adventure video games, a title that was announced at E3 2012 is finally available to purchase later this month. The game is called The Cave and the game is from the creator of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion, Ron Gilbert. The game is being offered by Sega and Double Fine Productions.
The game allows players to choose three adventurers from seven available, each with their own personalities and capabilities. Once the player chooses the team, they had off to explore The Cave. Players will find their way through an underground amusement park, a medieval castle, a nuclear missile, and more.
The game will be available for PS3 gamers and the Nintendo Wii U on January 22 as a digital download for $14.99. On January 23, the game will be available for Xbox 360 gamers for 1200 Microsoft points and for PC gamers via Steam for $14.99. This looks like a really cool game.

Sony PlayStation 4 Coming AT E3 This Year (Rumor)
We know that Sony is working on their fourth generation PlayStation console, the PlayStation 4, and now it would appear that the device may possibly be revealed at this years E3.
Sony’s vice president of Home Entertainment, Hiroshi Sakamto recently spoke to Spanish site emol.com, and hinted at a pssoible E3 reveal for the new PlayStation 4.
“I can only say that we are focused on the E3 gaming event, scheduled for June. [The] announcement may be in that minute or even earlier in May. In that time we expect to deliver great news, but we must wait until May at least.”
Microsoft is also expected to reveal its new Xbox 720 console at this years E3, so no doubt Sony are looking to show off their new PS4 at the same time.

Dust 514 Moves To Open Beta On Jan 22nd 2013 For PS3 (video)
Following on from the CCP announcement last week, which started to merge the closed beta Dust 514 test servers with Eve Online game servers. CCP has this week announced the Dust 514 open beta release date of January 22nd 2013.
Dust 514 a PS3 exclusive game when launched will be a free-to-play first-person shooter and is connected directly to CCP awesome space game, Eve Online. Watch the video after the jump to learn more about the Dust 514 game and see it in action.
CCP boss Hilmar Veigar Pétursson explained: “The launch of the Dust 514 Open Beta is another step towards our long-term vision for CCP and Eve,”- ”But this is just the beginning. As we have done with Eve Online, in the coming weeks, and for years to come, we will continually improve upon and add to the Dust 514 experience, as well as add deeper integration between the two games and their communities.”
CCP also confirmed that those currently within closed beta will face no further character resets, and that gamers currently not enjoying the closed beta can get a head start before the open beta begins via the Dust 514 Mercenary Park, which is available to purchase from the PlayStation Store. Archos GamePad Launching In The US Next Month For $169
US gamers patiently waiting for the arrival of the new Archos GamePad, will be please to learn that the new portable handheld games console will be launching in the US next month for $169.
The new Archos GamePad is already available throughout Europe and is powered by a 1.6 GHz Rockchip RK3066 dual core processor, supoorted by Mali 400 graphics, running Google’s latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

Xbox 720: nuovi rumor direttamente dalla Cina
Dopo il filmato mostrato riguardante il progetto IllumiRoom mostrato durante il CES 2013, Microsoft è senza dubbio la società al centro dell’attenzione, soprattutto per quanto riguarda la nuova Xbox, la quale non ha ancora un nome definitivo.
Che sia Xbox 720,Durango o altro ancora, la macchina della prossima generazione targata Microsoft continua a destare una sana curiosità tra i videogiocatori, che ogni giorno sperano di poter venire a conoscenza di nuovi dettagli, soprattutto in ambito hardware.
Pare che poche ore fa, un presunto insider di Ubisoft abbia postato su un forum cinese alcune specifiche tecniche riguardanti proprio la tanto attesa nuova Xbox, che ovviamente riportiamo di seguito.
Anche se la fonte fosse certa, sarebbe comunque da prendere in considerazione che, molto probabilmente, gli sviluppatori di terze parti stanno già lavorando sulle nuove macchine, però basate sul kit di sviluppo e non sulla versione finale della console.
Ecco le specifiche indicate dal misterioso utente:

Razer Edge Tablet Hands On At CES 2013 (video)
At CES 2013 this week Razer launched their new Razer Edge high end gaming tablet, which was previously known as Project Fiona and is powered by a choice of 3rd gen Intel Core processors supported by up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM.
If you are considering purchasing a Razer Edge Tablet or would just like to know a little more about the device, the Gamespot website has kindly created a Razer Edge Tablet hands-on video with Heathcliff Patcher from Razer explaining more about the device and answering questions.

Cryptic Witcher 3 Announcement Unveiled In Awesome Cyberpunk 2077 Trailer (video)
CD Projekt Red, developers of the fantastic Witcher series of games has released an awesome new trailer this week for their new Cyberpunk 2077 which is currently in development and will be launching sometime in 2015.
However include in the trailer is a message revealing that CD Projekt Red might be announcing is new Witcher 3 game on February 5th 2013, “We are about to reveal our other project which is much closer to being completed, and it will also be a fully open world game with an intense story. You can probably guess the game we’re talking about,” – “On the 5th February, it will all be clear.”
CD Projekt Red’s Mateusz Kanik explained in an interview with GameTrailers a little more about the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer.
“The teaser really feels like what we are working on,” he said. “If you are thinking about the presence of melee combat, yes, we will have those cool arm implants. Cyber-psychos will also be present. These are people who lost their sense of humanity because of too many cyber-modifications in their bodies.
“We will have aerial vehicles, the Psycho Squad, and all the weapons you saw are our modified versions from the rulebook. I hope that the woman you’ve seen in the trailer will also be there.”
“Cyberpunk 2077 will be an awesome game about a hero from the streets,” -”from very dangerous streets. Raised from the gutter, he uses ultra-modern technology to stand against large corporations and others who exploit the underprivileged. iFrogz’s Caliber Advantage iPhone 5 gaming case hands-on
It’s no secret that iOS mobile gaming leaves us wanting when it comes to physical controls. Fortunately, at CES 2013, iFrogz is out to fill that void with the Caliber Advantage iPhone case-gone-console. The Caliber Advantage, an iPhone 5 and fifth-generation iPod touch accessory, uses Bluetooth 4.0 to connect to the corresponding enabled application rather than the phone itself. iFrogz mentions that a deal with Epic Games and Chair Entertainment to build the basis for the Caliber software powered by the Unreal Engine is in the works. In fact, later this April the company will host its own developer conference aimed at seriously expanding the platform and hopefully adding support for previously released titles.
Marrying a case with a full-fledged controller certainly adds some bulk, but after handling the prototype, the approximate half inch of added girth honestly didn’t incite any ill feelings. The chassis, while clearly heavy on the plastic, felt more sturdy than anticipated, and fairly natural to our hands. As for the buttons? Crisp and responsive, hard though that may be to believe. The unit is set to retail at $70.
IllumiRoom: la nuova frontiera del gioco per Microsoft
Microsoft ha presentato al CES di quest’anno uno stravolgente e brillante progetto, stiamo parlando di IllumiRoom un’idea nata da un team di ricerca Microsoft composto da solo quattro persone.
Per il momento è solo un prototipo che sfrutta un proiettore e un Kinect per Xbox 360 per rendere l’intera stanza uno schermo a tutti gli effetti.
“Il nostro sistema utilizza l’aspetto e la geometria della stanza (catturato da Kinect) per adattare le immagini proiettate in tempo reale senza la necessità di pre-processo personalizzato la grafica.”
Queste sono le parole dette dal team per introdurre la presentazione di IllumiRoom, la quale è stata acclamata dal pubblico che ne è rimasto entusiasta.
Durante la presentazione è stato anche riprodotto un filmato che mostrà il programma in funzione. Il sistema Kinect lavora in simbiosi con il proiettore scannerizzando la stanza prima di entrare in funzione, subito dopo possiamo vedere il TV diventare un tutt’uno con la parete. Colpi sparati, effetti climatici e quant’altro iniziano a intravedersi come per magia proiettandoci praticamente nel titolo in cui stiamo giocando.
Nulla spiegherà meglio quello di cui si sta parlando apparte il filmato in questione, godetevelo e fateci sapere cosa ne pensate! Ricordiamo che per il momento IllumiRoom rimane un prototipo, non siate troppo severi con le critiche.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Activision rilascia il trailer del DLC Revolution
I responsabili di casa Activision decidono finalmente di fare luce sulla questione del misterioso DLC di Call of Duty: Black Ops II, denominato per l’occasione Revolution.
Da qualche giorno nel web impazzano rumor, notizie, descrizioni e molto altro ancora riguardanti la nuova espansione del celebre gioco a sfondo bellico,in modo da arricchire ancora di più l’esperienza in rete.
Giunge quindi il comunicato stampa ufficiale proprio da parte di Activision,in cui viene descritto ogni dettaglio riguardante il DLC e accompagnato da uno speciale video nel quale le nuove mappe e l’arma aggiuntiva sono i veri protagonisti.
Anche la modalità Zombie potrà vantare di una ambientazione alternativa grazie a Die Rise e la modalità Turned, in grado di mettere il giocatore nei panni di uno dei morti viventi.
Impossibile non pensare ai giocatori che amano livellare il proprio arsenale e infatti Treyarch inserisce per l’occasione un nuovo fucile, il Peacekeeper SMG.
Revolution vedrà luce in anteprima su Xbox Live il giorno 29 Gennaio, con prezzo fissato a 1200 Microsoft Point, per un totale di 14,99€. I possessori di Season Pass non dovranno preoccuparsi, Revolution è compreso nel pacchetto speciale. Bocche ancora cucite per quanto riguarda la versione Playstation 3 e Pc del DLC.
