Samsung 2012 Smart TV Update Adds Amazon Instant Movie Streaming

Kindle range of devices within Europe, Amazon has also announced a partnership with Samsung which is now added a new Amazon Instant Video App to their range of 2012 Samsung Smart TVs.
The new Amazon Instant Video application enables Samsung Smart TV owners to access more than 140,000 movies and TV episodes which are available to either rent or purchase from the Amazon service.
Together with more than 30,000 titles on Prime Instant Video available to Prime members at no additional cost. The new Amazon Instant Video application is now available to download from today on to any 2012 Smart Samsung TV.
Amazon has completely redesigned the streaming application with a new user interface, which has now been designed specifically for use within a home living room, with features such as Watchlists, closed captions, and customised content recommendations.
“Streaming video content has emerged as the killer app for our Smart TV platform. In addition to our current line-up of big brands, Amazon Instant Video has been one of the most commonly requested services from our customers,” said Eric Anderson, Vice President of Content and Product Solutions, Samsung Electronics America. “We are very proud to say that today we deliver on that request – along with a brand new UI available for the first time on Samsung TVs.”
