Seagate Backup Plus USB 3.0 Portable Storage For Mac Unveiled
Seagate has announced a new portable hard drive solution which has been specifically designed for Mac users, in the form of the new Backup Plus storage for Mac.
The new storage designed for Mac systems is equipped with a Super Speed USB 3.0 connection, which is also compatible with earlier USB 2.0 ports, and provides faster data transfer at 10 times the speed of the USB 2.0.
Seagate explains in their press release: “Backup Plus for Mac will now provide a USB 3.0 cable out of the box and can be upgraded to Thunderbolt™ Technology or FireWire 800, as the need presents itself.”
The new Seagate Backup Plus storage for Mac systems is now available to purchase from online retailers in the following sizes. 500GB for $110, 1TB for $130, and as Backup Plus Desktop drives providing 2TB of storage for $130 and 3TB for $180.
