Photojojo has this week added a new camera remote to their range of products called the ioShutter. Which has been designed to transform your iPhone or iOS device into an advanced remote shutter remote.

The ioShutter camera shutter remote consists of a cord and iOS application, allowing you to control your DSLR camera shutter directly from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.

Once setup ioShutter provides you with 6 modes to choose from including: standard trigger, motion trigger, sound trigger, time-lapse, timer, and bulb.

“The sound trigger fires your camera by sound, even when you’re across the room. Cram your friends together and make some noise! Or snap the money shot with a huge, “SURPRIIIISE!!”

32GB Nokia Lumia 900 On The Way, Confirmed By O2 Germany

German mobile carrier O2 has confirmed that they will be offering a 32GB version of the new Nokia Lumia 900, the handset will be a white version of the Lumia 900 and will share the same specifications as the existing device apart from the 32GB of storage.

O2 have yet to announce when the 32GB white version of the Nokia Lumia 900 will be available and have as yet not released an details on how much the handset will retail for.

Other specifications on the Nokia Lumia 900 include a 4.3 inch AMOLED ClearBlack touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, processing on the Nokia Lumia 900 is provided by a single core 1.4GHz processor.

There is also an 8 megapixel camera with an f/2/2 Carl Zeiss lens, the camera is capable of recording HD video in 720p, up front there is a is a 1 megapixel camera for video chat.

Samsung Music Hub Launched In Europe

Along with the launch of the new Galaxy S III smartphone Samsung has also announced its new music service for the UK, Germany and France, the Samsung Music Hub.

The Samsung Music Hub offers song streaming from a catalog of 19million songs, plus a cloud based service similar to Apple’s iTunes Match that comes with 100GB of storage.

There are both free and paid versions, the free version will let you listen to music you have matched or purchased, the premium version which costs £9.99 will give you access to the music streaming.

Samsung has also said that their new Music Hub will be available on all of their new Galaxy Smartphones and tablets going forward, there are no details on whether it will be available on existing devices.

Skype for Xbox 360 unlikely until 2013

Microsoft bought Skype in May last year for the large sum of $8.5 billion, but not much has come of the acquisition so far. A Skype application has made the jump to Windows Phone, which was met with mixed reactions, but so far the VOIP service hasn’t found its way into Microsoft’s ecosystem. Skype is said to be coming for the Xbox 360, but the crucial detail is when. Turns out you may not see it until next year.

The New York Times took a closer look at the relationship between Microsoft and Skype recently, and uncovered a few tidbits in the process. First, Skype for Xbox 360 is coming, but it’s “not likely” that consumers will see it this year. As for the Windows Phone application and its lack of properly multitasking, a spokesperson for Microsoft confirmed that the company is working on the issue, and that the “shortcoming would be addressed in a future version of the software.”

Microsoft is firmly committed to the acquisition, though, with 400 new job openings currently on offer at Skype. Indeed, a recent job listing indicated the company was looking for a “Skype for Xbox Program Manager”, which included “enabling amazing new in-game and in-console voice and video experiences for the next generation of Xbox.” Other job listings have pointed towards a Skype web app that would run in browsers using HTML5.

Samsung Galaxy S III protective cases arrive in UK (Video)

It appears that though there might be a bit of a delay with the actual smartphone itself in some cases, stores in the UK, MobileFun in particular, have recieved their official (and unofficial) case shipments for the Samsung Galaxy S III. The folks at MobileFun have shown off their wares in a set of new press photos (for the official bunch) never before seen until now as well as in a set of lovely hands-on videos. These videos show some of the more inventive cases created by third parties made specifically for the Galaxy S III in an array of odd shapes and colors. First take note that the official images you see above and below originate from Samsung but have been let loose by MobileFun where you can also buy them now. Non dovrebbe mancare molto all’arrivo dei nuovi Mac ma qualcuno non resiste e prova a immaginare fantasiosi e a volte bizzarri modelli. Immancabili i grandi display touch e inossidabile come sempre il pensiero rivolto all’iMac G4 “lampadone”.

Il defunto CEO di Apple, Steve Jobs, aveva spiegato qualche tempo addietro le difficoltà che nascerebbero nel creare un iMac con schermo touch. “L’utente si stanca a interagire tutto il giorno con un grande schermo posto in verticale: dopo un po’ ti affatichi e il braccio vuol tornare giù” diceva Jobs, “dal punto di vista ergonomico è terribile”. Più volte sono ad ogni modo venuti fuori specifici progetti registrati da Apple e non è da escludere che prima o poi la casa di Cupertino trovi un modo adeguato per creare un Mac con un grande schermo touch con i presupposti ergonomici corretti.

Joakim Ulseth, uno studente tedesco che si occupa di grafica e 3D, ha provato a immaginare come apparirebbe un Mac touch, basandosi su alcuni disegni depositati da Apple e realizzando un video nel quale si vede un ipotetico iMac da 27” con schermo da 4096×2304 pixel, con Mountain Lion, software di riconoscimento vocale Siri di provenienza iOS, nuovi processori Ivy Bridge e due porte Thunderbolt.

LG launches new pair of TVs: DM2752 and M2752 can both double-up as your PC monitor

If your PC / media-hub combination is starting to strain the structural integrity of your desk, you might be interested in the latest TV sets from LG. Offering picture-in-picture functionality, both the 24-inch DM2752 and M2752 can embed one visual input from the HDMI ports on top of another, like your favorite episodes of your TV show of choice windowed as you gun your way through Max Payne 3. The IPS-screened DM model throws in some 3D capability (with glasses) and will arrive in July, while its dimensionally-challenged brother is already available now in several countries in Europe. Google pronta a cambiare politica commerciale: ecco come potrebbe evolversi Android

 

È un momento molto intenso per la piattaforma Android che, dopo il recente via libera per l’acquisizione da parte di Google di Motorola Mobility, sembra pronta a trasformarsi ancora. Non parliamo solo del prossimo aggiornamento Jelly Beam che sembra essere sempre più certo e sicuro per il prossimo autunno, ma anche della politica con cui Google affronterà la commercializzazione dei prodotti e le partnership con i produttori che fino ad oggi hanno contribuito alla diffusione del sistema.

Secondo il WSJ, Google è pronta al cambiamento al fine di non svantaggiare i brand che vedono in Motorola+Google una seria minaccia. In primo luogo offrirà a tutti i produttori l’accesso alle nuove versioni di Android in anticipo rispetto al rilascio ufficiale in modo da permettere alle aziende di lavorare e ottimizzare meglio i propri prodotti.

Facebook assume ex ingegneri Apple per realizzare il primo Facebook Phone

Dopo aver proceduto all’acquisto del noto software Instagram per garantirsi il controllo del panorama social mondiale, circolano voci sempre più insistenti sulla possibilità che Facebook, il colosso dei social network, entri a breve nel mercato dei terminali mobili, progettando e realizzando un proprio dispositivo.

Il The New York Times ha alimentato queste voci con un report che afferma che Facebook starebbe pianificando di lanciare, entro l’anno prossimo, uno smartphone interamente progettato dall’azienda di Palo Alto. Per raggiungere il suo obiettivo, oltre ai suoi migliori elementi, Facebook avrebbe già assunto un discreto numero di ingegneri che avrebbero lavorato in precedenza per la realizzazione di iPhone e iPad presso Apple.

“La compagnia ha già assunto più di mezza dozzina di ingegneri del software e dell’hardware che hanno già lavorato in Apple sui progetti di iPhone, ed uno che ha lavorato sul progetto dell’iPad.”

Quello attuale sembra essere il terzo tentativo da parte di Facebook di realizzare uno smartphone. I precedenti tentativi sono stati accantonati dopo aver riscontrato diverse problematiche a livello tecnico. Ora Facebook sta cercando di assumere ingegneri con esperienze già acquisite nel campo dei dispositivi mobili in modo da poter completare il progetto di pianificazione e realizzazione del prodotto.

Facebook, inoltre, ha un interesse naturale nel vendere smartphone. La compagnia, infatti, ha già sviluppato alcune applicazioni mobili per iOS ed Android molto popolari, ma ha uno scarso controllo su queste piattaforme. Ecco, infine, come si è espresso a riguardo un impiegato di Facebook:

“Mark è preoccupato dal fatto che se non riescono a realizzare uno smartphone nel prossimo futuro, Facebook diventerà semplicemente un’applicazione su altre piattaforme mobili.”

Samsung Galaxy S3 disponibile ufficialmente in 28 paesi

Samsung annuncia ufficialmente tramite comunicato stampa, l’arrivo nei 28 paesi previsti dal produttore attraverso oltre 200 operatori, il tanto atteso Galaxy S3. La versione più commercializzata risulta essere quella nel taglio da 16GB, scorte invece più limitate per quelle da 32 e 64GB. Per  Europa, Africa e Medio Oriente iniziano le spedizioni per le prime unità che ricordiamo hanno già fatto registrare il sold out da diversi giorni, con la versione bianca che ha rispettato date e disponibilità, mentre qualche problemino è sorto per la variante blu che si assesterà a regimi di produzione normali entro le prossime 2-4 settimane.

L’arrivo negli Stati Uniti, Australia e paesi rimanenti è previsto entro i prossimi mesi, completando il cerchio che vedrà così Samsung Galaxy S3 raggiungere 145 stati e quasi 300 operatori di telefonia mobile, con i primi dati di vendita e diffusione attesi per i la metà di Giugno.

Monster Shows off Three New Headphones

Monster no longer makes the popular Beats headphones after the split between the partners. Monster is still making headphones though and it has unveiled three new sets at the Monaco Grand Prix. The new headphones include the Diamond Tears, VEKTR, and Inspiration. All three sets promise style and quality sound.

The Inspiration headphones are the first over the ear noise cancellation headphones from Monster. The headphones have interchangeable headbands and you can buy different colors, textures and materials to suit your style. The Diamond Tears headphones have a clear diamond style to the headband and outer ear cups.

Monster says that the headphones also have its ControlTalk remote control and microphone for use with the iPhone. The third set of headphones is the VEKTR designed in conjunction with apparel brand Diesel. The Diesel logo is diamond cut on each ear cup. Pricing and availability are unknown.
