Alienware M14x, M17x and M18x Laptops Updated
Alienware has today released details about its new range of gaming laptops, and their updated components. The refreshed 2012 range of Alienware laptops will include the M14x, M17x, and M18x which Alienware has now made even more flexible providing 4x graphics choices, 2 x single core, 2 x dual-core, 23 x storage options, 7 x memory choices, 2 x optical drives, and 3 x wireless card to choose from. Enabling you to create your perfect system.
The Alienware M14x R2 is fitted with a 14 inch screen, a 28nm GeForce GT 650M GPU with up to 2GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory, up to 16GB of RAM, and all will include an mSATA slot for solid state drives configurations together with support for Bluetooth 4.0.
The Alienware M17x R4 with a 17.3-inch screen is also equipped with a 28nm Nvidia GeForce GTX 660M, with 2GB of dedicated GDDR5. With options to upgrade to a GTX 675M or a Radeon HD 7970M, and up to 32GB of RAM.
The larger M18x R2 will be equipped with a 18.4-inch screen and will be available with dual graphics card options for extra power and performance, whilst gaming or carrying out intensive power hungry operations, via either a pair of GeForce GTX 675M in SLI at launch, or two Radeon HD 7970M in CrossFire. All three laptops will also now be equipped with a dedicated Creative Sound Blaster chip on the board, and THX TruStudio software, and 3×3 MIMO wireless cards.
Alienware has not changed the design, or its Alienware configuration tools, that enable owners to tweak colours, overclock settings and other elements of the laptops. Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
