La lettera di Adriano Celentano al Corriere della Sera, accompagnato da un’animazione giunta dal ‘clan’, ricordando al governo che 24 anni fa l’orientamento popolare contro le centrali, decretato dal referendum fu chiarissimo. Il nucleare è “Una trappola radioattiva per chi non vuole essere schiacciato dalla bevanda nucleare. Ora il mio potrebbe sembrare un appello ma non lo è. E’ una preghiera. Una preghiera che è non è rivolta ai politici, ma a tutti quelli che li votano”. Poi il cantante esorta a non disertate il referendum, anche se il governo lo spostasse al giorno di Natale.

Di RAGE, promettente FPS firmato id Software ne abbiamo sempre parlato bene, ci piace e non vediamo l’ora di provarlo. Oggi Bethesda ha rilasciato un nuovo video di puro gameplay della durata di ben 8 minuti che conferma le nostre ottime impressioni. Quindi dopo la Città Morta e il bunker dei Sudari, eccovi la città di Wellspring, terrorizzata da un clan di banditi che tiene in pugno le autorità, minacciando di inquinare le falde acquifere.
Questo capolavoro è atteso in uscita per il 16 settembre su PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 e PC, buona visione.
Nuova Time Capsule con iOS, Chip A5 e sincronizzazione Wi-Fi per iPhone?
I rumors in questi giorni si sprecano e proprio nella giornata di oggi hanno investito anche la meno famosa Time Capsule di Apple, che secondo le ultime indiscrezioni dovrebbe essere lanciata a breve con un nuovo processore A5 e basata sul famoso sistema operativo mobile made in Cupertino, iOS.I rumors sembrano essere veritieri in quanto le scorte di AirPort e Time Capsule sono limitate e le forniture tardano ad arrivare. Altre indiscrezioni poi fanno pensare ad un lancio in concomitanza col servizio iCloud rendendo il prodotto compatibile con la nuova funzionalità che Apple presenterà al WWDC 2011.
MacRumors aggiunge che alcune voci sostengono che l’aggiornamento di Time Capsule porterà anche una completa sincronizzazione wireless degli iDevice, che permette di aggiornare i propri dispositivi da qualsiasi Mac in casa senza che ogni singolo computer debba scaricare l’aggiornamento.

Mad Catz' exclusive Xbox 360 wireless headphones revealed: integrated voice chat, 5.8GHz base station
Remember how Mad Catz scored the exclusive rights to produce Xbox 360 wireless headphones? Here’s the deal: these cans don’t need to be tethered to your controller for voice chat or plugged into a wall to charge. According to IGN, the new Mad Catz Warhead 7.1 will get everything it needs from a base station connected to your console. String USB and optical cables directly from the Xbox 360 to that tiny tower above, and you’ll reportedly get enough 5.8GHz bandwidth to deliver virtual Dolby surround sound to four pairs of headphones at once — plus wireless Xbox LIVE audio chat thanks to some native support from Microsoft. What’s more, the USB base station will also give you an on-screen battery readout, and if the Warhead runs out of juice, you’ll find a second swappable battery pack sitting in the base station’s charger. If that sounds too rich for your blood, the Devastator will ditch the surround sound and rechargeable batteries while retaining the same connectivity and 50mm drivers of its premium brother. How much that’ll cost you is still to be determined, though Mad Catz told IGNthey’ll all ring up under $300 this holiday.
Batarang controllers to be thrown at E3, come back in October
If multiple batmobiles, a bat-usb stick, and a bat-puter aren’t enough to convince you Bruce Wayne is a vain egomaniac, maybe these Batman: Arkham City batarang controllers will give you pause. In traditional bat-gadget fashion, these Xbox 360 and Ps3 controllers boast a cheesy bat-aesthetic (such as bat-start and select / back buttons), dual rumble motors, comfort-soft grips, and seven switchable splashes of LED color. Although physically the two controllers are pretty similar, Ol’ Bats seems to favor the PlayStation 3, giving its controller not only the popular Xbox 360 button / analog layout, but an internal battery, detachable charging cable, and batman-themed USB RF receiver, to boot. The Xbox variant? A dated, wired affair — but hey, at least it’s got that Xbox guide button, right? The controllers will be on display next week at E3, courtesy of Power-A, and will hit store shelves when Batman: Arkham City ships in October, leaving you little excuse not to be geared up and ready when the bat-phone rings. Microsoft’s new wireless keyboard-and-mouse duo aims to thwart keystroke spies with full AES 128-bit encryption on over-the-air data — an improvement on older wireless models that have proven to be easy pickings for hacker-types. You can pick up the Wireless Desktop 2000 now for $40, but that won’t buy you protection from more common threats like Shandong phishmongers, nor will it make up for security loopholes in your other peripherals. We first heard about the Eyez video recording glasses concept back in March, when those familiar black frames packed a 1080p camera, 16GB of flash memory, WiFi, and dual exawatt-class lasers (ok, we made that last part up). Named for the product’s “utopic vision,” ZionEyez now has a prototype with a more grounded spec list, including a 720p camera and 8GB of memory, along with micro-USB and Bluetooth connectivity for livecasting to Qik or LiveStream — The Truman Show style. Afraid you won’t be able to pull off those high-tint lenses at night or in that top-secret (indoor) business meeting? You can swap out the removable sunglass lenses for clear versions, or throw in your prescription in daylight (tinted) or indoor flavors, since many optical stores stock appropriately sized lenses. Availability for these $199 HD Ray-Ban clones is currently slated for fall (assuming ZionEyez hits its funding target), but you can pre-order your pair for $150 on Zion’s Kickstarter page.

Valentino Rossi, si ricorda un anno fa? Stessa pista, stesso deserto, eravamo qui a parlare del suo migliore precampionato di sempre e sappiamo com’è andata. Adesso che cosa ci dobbiamo aspettare?
«Ah, speriamo che la stagione vada al contrario del precampionato anche stavolta! Mi ricordo bene di un anno fa: c’era ottimismo, nei test ero andato fortissimo e qui ho pure vinto, anche se con un po’ di fortuna perché Stoner è caduto. Poi, con l’incidente in motocross e l’infortunio alla spalla destra, è iniziata la mia via crucis. Perché questo è stato il mio 2010: una via crucis».
Ce la racconti.
«Ho vissuto momenti di sfiducia bestiale, ero giù di morale. Tu fai terapia, ti curi, ma capitano giorni che ti fai un mazzo così e non migliori. E poi il guaio è che ho capito che cos’avevo veramente solo quando mi sono operato».
Ma com’è stato possibile?
«Mah. A volte succede che soltanto quando intervieni ti accorgi di cose che non avevi visto con gli esami».
Dunque ci sono stati errori nella diagnosi, sottovalutazioni iniziali?
«All’inizio hanno detto che la spalla non era nemmeno da operare, poi quando l’hanno aperta s’è scoperto che era distrutta. Sinceramente, non mi so dare una spiegazione».
Adesso a che punto è?
«Mi fa perdere mezzo secondo al giro. Sto al 70 per cento della forza, ma quello che mi preoccupa è la resistenza allo sforzo. Oggi dovrò soffrire, soprattutto nella seconda metà della gara».
Parentesi: il motocross lo rifarà mai più?
«Ah no! Farsi male così è capitato a tanti piloti, ma per me è stato devastante».
Ma non era meglio operarsi prima del 14 novembre?
«Nel periodo in cui ho operato la gamba rotta al Mugello no, sarebbe stato impossibile gestire due convalescenze e insieme. Dopo forse sì, a settembre. Magari ora sarei più in forma. Però non volevo saltare delle gare e, soprattutto, volevo provare la Ducati a Valencia: il test è stato negativo ma almeno ci siamo portati avanti».
